H5 Bird Flu Community Meeting

Dr Laura participated in the DEECA community meeting hosted by Surf Coast Shire Council, which brought together agency representatives and residents to discuss the H5N1 bird flu on the Surf Coast, and offer support to the local community.

Victoria RESCA Awards 2026

Greenacres Golf Club · Kew East, Victoria

Laura attended the Victorian Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards, celebrating the contributions of paid and volunteer emergency services personnel across Victoria.

The 2026 awards recognised Jennifer McGuirk OAM of VCC Emergencies Ministry in the volunteer capacity category and Brendan Vann of Victoria Police in the paid capacity category.
