What the resource does
WorkSafe describes the WorkWell Survey as an employer self-assessment resource with separate surveys for leaders and workers. It explores workplace conditions, psychological health and safety, and readiness for change. Comparing responses can reveal differences between leadership perceptions and workers’ experiences.
A starting point for practice
Before collecting feedback, organisations could explain its purpose, how responses will be protected and who will act on the findings. Differences in perspective can become a starting point for discussion rather than a judgement about which group is right.
From feedback to action
A practical next step is to select a concern raised through consultation, agree who can change the relevant conditions and communicate what happens next. A survey is only one source of information.
Limits and current guidance
WorkSafe’s survey page, reviewed 13 March 2026, notes that its information has not yet been updated for the new psychological health duties. Use it alongside current regulatory guidance. The page does not establish that using the survey prevents injury or demonstrates compliance; confirm current access arrangements with WorkSafe.
Practice questions are editorial interpretations of the official source. They are not evaluated interventions.
